Project summary
When Aidells came to Jel, their Web site was cluttered and difficult to use,
and had no visual relationship to their other marketing materials. Aidells
makes great gourmet sausage and has a huge fan base that agrees. The
challenge for Aidells: How do you communicate great taste in an online
medium?
Our job was to create a sensory experience online. We wanted to create a
brand-consistent online presence that focused on the unique flavor and
ingredients in Aidells' sausages. To do this, we featured rich photos of the
sausage ingredients - peppers, apples, mangoes - rather than the sausage
itself. We used this visual backdrop for a range of consumer-friendly
information including in-depth product descriptions, a searchable recipe
database, a product apparel store and an online forum for Aidells' fans to
share recipes and taste test information.
